At a time when we need more collectivism and direct person-to-person communication, finding common ground and joining forces against the death cults that rule us, we are forced in various ways ("productivity", time constraints, enshittification of search...) to start using and then rely on proprietary tools that suck up our questions, worries, ideas, musings. They flood the Internet with slop to the point where slow, personal, unique digital creations are nearly impossible to find.

And so I'm worried of further breakdown of human communication and connection.
There's the idea that maybe things getting worse in the digital space will mean a welcome return to more meatspace action. But I don't like the idea of giving up on a medium where we can create, and have been creating, in meaningful, deeply human ways. And abandoning it to further exploitation.
Anyway, I have to clean up the house and maybe do something meatspacey with the kids instead of doomglooming on fedi.
